ZIM vs IND 2024 : Ruturaj Gaikwad and Khaleel Ahmed aren't playing in the 5th T20I match between Why?
However, India also entered the battle altered from the previous match. They put pacer Khaleel Ahmed and No. 3 batter Ruturaj Gaikwad on the bench. They decided to start middle-order hitters Riyan Parag and Mukesh Kumar as a result.

At the Harare Sports Club in Harare on Sunday, July 14, Team India (IND) and the hosts Zimbabwe (ZIM) will square off in the fifth and final Twenty20 international of the current series. After losing his opening toss of the series, Zimbabwean captain Sikander Raza chose to bowl first. Brandon Mavuta was added by the Hosts to their playing lineup, which resulted in a minor alteration. Tendai Chatara, a quick bowler, was rested in order to achieve this.

In his maiden Twenty20 international, Parag managed just two runs. The young player did not bat in the second Twenty20 International, but he did bowl one over and gave up five runs. The previous two games were his off-season. Kumar, however, has also played in two T20I series matches and has taken four wickets.

“In any case, we wanted to bat first. Both of our fast bowlers and spinners have bowled profitably. The guys had been craving something. Playing consecutive matches is difficult. A few modifications. Gill stated during the toss. “Mukesh Kumar and Parag come in.”

Raza, however, explained that Chatara was being rested since the bowler had just finished four straight games and the squad wanted him to be well-rested and ready for the special Test against Ireland at the end of the month.

“We’re going to start with a bowl. Our second batting position will improve the wicket. Nothing challenging at all; the drive, self-assurance, and skill set are all present. We want to perform well and wrap up the season well. It’s Brandon Mavuta now. “We have a Test match coming up, Chatara has been rested, and he’s played four games in a row,” Raza stated during the toss.

India (Playing XI): Shubman Gill(c), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson(w), Riyan Parag, Rinku Singh, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Tushar Deshpande, Mukesh Kumar

Zimbabwe (Playing XI): Wessly Madhevere, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Brian Bennett, Dion Myers, Sikandar Raza(c), Johnathan Campbell, Faraz Akram, Clive Madande(w), Brandon Mavuta, Richard Ngarava, Blessing Muzarabani
