WCL 2024 Final: In a heartwarming gesture, Robin Uthappa assists an injured Misbah-ul-Haq in leaving the pitch
During the match, former Indian wicketkeeper-batter Robin Uthappa helped an injured Misbah-ul-Haq off the pitch in a wonderful display of sportsmanship between the two cricketing giants. This demonstrated the true spirit of cricket.

On Saturday, July 13, the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2024 final pitted the champions of India and Pakistan against one another.

The WCL 2024, a competition showcasing former cricket legends, has culminated with a match between bitter rivals India and Pakistan. On a pitch that usually benefited the chasing team, Younis Khan made the right decision to bat first when calling the toss.

India’s champions win by five wickets.

Misbah sustained a leg injury and was obviously in pain as Pakistan’s innings went on. After making 18 off of 15 balls, the 50-year-old veteran was forced to retire injured. Uthappa abandoned his wicketkeeping responsibilities at that same moment to rush to Misbah’s assistance.

Misbah was hobbling off the pitch when Uthappa gave him his shoulder. On social media, Uthappa’s deed of compassion went viral right once, receiving praise from supporters in both countries. A video of the incident was posted by FanCode, the official broadcaster, with the title “Spirit of Cricket.”

It was an amazing confrontation, as the match turned out. Pakistan scored a challenging 156/6, driven by fast bowler Sohail Tanvir’s 19 off 9 and captain Shoaib Malik’s 41 off 36 balls. Ambati Rayudu scored a scorching half-century during India’s thrilling chase.
