Ben Stokes is among the select few players who have chosen to concentrate on Test cricket instead of white-ball cricket.
With the appointment of coach Brendon McCullum and him as England’s Test captain, the format of Test cricket has been altered. In cricket history, their high-risk style and aggressive approach are referred to as “Bazball.” Stokes was congratulated for having reached his 100 Tests during the Rajkot Test against India, when England faced the West Indies at the Lord’s in the opening Test.
Throughout his career, Stokes has had numerous noteworthy innings, but his most notable occurred in the third Test of the 2019 Ashes series at Headingley against Australia. England were nine down for 286 while chasing a formidable goal of 359. In an attempt to return England home, he planned one of the greatest chases in history. He received a silver cap from the England Cricket Board (ECB) for reaching three figures three games after the Rajkot Test. The 33-year-old became the Three Lions’ only 18th player to accomplish this accomplishment.

Anderson is preparing to leave the world of cricket.
In reference to the all-rounder’s 100th Test match, the home team chose to bowl first after winning the toss. Gus Atkinson’s seven-for-one put the West Indies ahead for a meagre 121 runs. With the bat, England put on a display, scoring 371 runs thanks to scores of 76 and 70 from debutant Jamie Smith and Zak Crawley. Spinner Gudakesh Moties dismissed milestone man Stokes for a mere four runs.

For James Anderson, the top pacer for England, the Test is very important. After the first Test is over, the seasoned pacer will say goodbye to the game. In terms of the situation at Lord’s, the visitors are trailing 193 runs and are five down with only 57 runs scored. But Anderson took just one wicket in the first innings of his farewell match and had claimed two in the second.
