After winning the T20 World Cup, Rahul Dravid turned down an additional INR 2.5 crore bonus from the BCCI

Rahul Dravid, the former head coach of India, turned down a bonus that the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) had offered him.

Dravid received a bonus that was far larger than the bonuses received by the other side support employees. But Dravid, displaying a strong sense of justice, has rejected the incentive.

In accordance with the BCCI’s plan, Dravid and the Indian team would receive INR 5 crore, while the support staff—which included batting coach Vikram Rathour, fielding coach T Dilip, and bowling coach Paras Mhambrey—would receive INR 2.5 crore.

“Rahul requested the same bonus money that his support staff members received. We honour his feelings,” the Hindustan Times cited an informed source as saying. It’s also important to remember that Dravid has before put equality ahead of his own interests.

In 2018, he demonstrated comparable values while leading India’s U19 World Cup-winning squad. David’s actions demonstrate his dedication to creating a welcoming work atmosphere where all members are treated equally. Dravid’s leadership of India to an ICC title can be attributed to similar acts and ideas.

Gautam Gambhir becomes the new head coach of India.

The Indian team’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, stepped down immediately following the T20 World Cup. Gautam Gambhir, a former cricket player for India, was named the team’s new coach by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) prior to the team’s tour of Sri Lanka.

Since his victory with the Kolkata Knight Riders, where he guided the team to their third IPL title as a mentor, Gambhir was expected to be the front-runner for the position of head coach.

The Men in Blue, led by Gambhir, will go to Sri Lanka for their next white-ball tour, and they will be hoping to duplicate some of their success there with the Indian squad.
