Abhishek Sharma, Dhruv Jurel, and Riyan Parag celebrate India's T20 World Cup win

The five-match T20I series between Zimbabwe and the Men in Blue, captained by Shubman Gill, is scheduled to begin on July 6. Riyan Parag, Abhishek Sharma, Tushar Deshpande, and Dhruv Jurel are among the young players who have the chance to debut in T20I cricket with this tour.

Excitement raced through the youthful brigade of India as they arrived in Harare for their forthcoming tour of Zimbabwe. In addition to getting ready for their international debuts, the budding stars will be focused on the India and Sri Lanka T20 World Cup in 2026.

With Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, and Yashasvi Jaiswal from the World Cup-winning team in attendance, the emphasis is on developing young talent and sustaining the momentum from India’s recent victory in the West Indies and the United States.

In the meantime, the young athletes disclosed their location during India’s World Cup final. When history was going to be written in India, Dhruv Jurel told a funny story.

“While watching the Final and supporting India, I noticed that South Africa had won, so I began to support them, and India managed to make a comeback. In a video that BCCI released, he declared, “I didn’t stop supporting South Africa and India won the World Cup.”

Abhishek Sharma had a more intimate and motivational encounter. The all-round player disclosed that Yuvraj Singh, who played a crucial role in India’s historic victory in the T20 World Cup, was present when he watched the match.

“I was watching the final with one & only Yuvi Paaji, he got so emotional when India won, we celebrated a lot & it has given me the motivation to win a World Cup,” he stated.

Shubman Gill, the team captain, considered how important the victory was to both himself and his teammates. One of the Indian team’s backup players for the major tournament was the opener.

“This must be special for all of them and very special for me because seeing them working hard for so long for this feather in the cap,” he said.

“It’s inspirational for all of us, for all the youngsters who are here in the team to win a cup of this stature, it is motivating for all of us, it’s motivating for all of us and all the youngsters,” Riyan Parag told reporters.

After winning the World Cup, the team captained by Rohit Sharma was warmly welcomed. Tens of thousands of people witnessed the team’s triumphant march along Marine Drive in Mumbai, which went from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium.

Following an almost hour-long parade, the team was given an INR 125 crore check by the BCCI at a special felicitation programme held at Wankhede Stadium.
