"Haha, same mere pass bhi hai," is Axar Patel's witty response to Rishabh Pant's post-T20 World Cup medal

On June 29, India emerged victorious in the T20 World Cup 2024, having defeated South Africa in the Finals at the Kensington Oval in Barbados by a margin of seven runs.

Throughout the competition, every player made some sort of contribution to India’s victory. A key member of the team was Rishabh Pant, who rejoined the national team following a horrible vehicle tragedy. Pant posted a photo of himself sporting the coveted winner’s medal to Instagram following the game.

All-rounder Axar Patel of India was quick to respond to Pant’s social media post by teasing that he, too, was the owner of the same medal. Speaking of Axar, he clearly made some significant hitting strokes in the Final against South Africa and Pakistan. Additionally, he claimed three wickets in the semifinal matchup with England. Conversely, Pant performed admirably in the group stages but appeared glimmery in the knockout stages.

“Same mere pass bhi hai, bhai. (Brother, I own the same medal also),” Axar wrote in response to Pant’s post. Following in his footsteps, Mohammed Siraj penned, “Bhai mere pass bhi hai same (Brother, I too have the same one).”

An Indian squad will participate in Mumbai’s victory parade.

Following their World Cup victory, the Indian team flew into Delhi on July 4 and checked at the ITC Maurya Hotel. They had a meeting at the home of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India before heading to Mumbai to participate in the victory procession. There will be throngs of fans in the area when the team travels in a team bus from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The captain of India, Rohit Sharma, told the supporters about the victory parade on social media. It is noteworthy that the similar parade was held on Mumbai’s renowned Marine Drive stretch in 2007 when the Indian team won their first-ever T20 World Cup.
