After overwhelming South Africa Women 3-0 in the ODI series and going on to win the one-off Test match at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, India women have been playing fantastically. The Women in Blue’s next encounter is a three-match Twenty20 International series against the Proteas, which begins in Chennai on July 5. Prior to the match, the renowned Tirupati Balaji Temple in Andhra Pradesh was the site of prayers led by Harmanpreet Kaur and her followers.
Pooja Vastrakar, Renuka Singh, and Shafali Verma were with the captain of India. In the first innings of the one-off Test match, Shafali, the opener for India, became just the second Indian player ever to reach a double century, following Mithali Raj. In the meantime, Deepti Sharma was seen with other athletes.

At Chepauk, India defeats South Africa
In the one-off Test matches they have played recently, the women of India have been dominant. In Mumbai, they beat Australia first, then England. With Shafali scoring 205 and Smriti Mandhana scoring 149, they controlled the game and amassed 603 for 6 against South Africa before declaring. South Africa responded by being knocked out for 266 thanks to eight wickets by Sneh Rana.

With Laura Wolvaardt scoring 122 and Sune Luus scoring 109, the visitors scored a meagre 373 runs after India forced a follow-on, giving the hosts a meagre target of 37 runs. With great care, the Indian openers ensured that the Proteas could not find any cause for celebration as they pursued the objective without conceding any wickets. Because of her outstanding 10 wickets in both innings, Sneh Rana was named Player of the Match.
