Following India’s victory in the T20 World Cup 2024, former cricket player Aakash Chopra praised captain Rohit Sharma. The Men in Blue under his direction made it to the ODI World Cup 2023 finals, but ultimately lost. The Rohit-led team, however, went all the way and defeated South Africa by seven runs in the game’s shortest format at Kensington Oval in Barbados.
Rohit Sharma became the third Indian captain to win a World Cup, and Chopra said that the whole country would remember him. The 37-year-old is now among the most decorated Indian players in history after winning the World Cup. He has also won five IPL titles and a Champions Trophy.

The 46-year-old added that Rohit has proven to be an excellent leader. He is a “24-carat pure gold,” according to Chopra, who also mentioned that every cricket player on the squad believes he is an excellent skipper. The former opener also said that Rohit has brought success to the team by fostering a great environment.
