At 34/3, the Indian innings was off to a rough start as the team found itself in precarious situations. India was left reeling by the loss of important wickets, like as skipper Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Suryakumar Yadav. Patel was tasked with steadying the ship when he joined Virat Kohli at the crease in this particular circumstance.
But just as India appeared to be winning, a flash of genius from de Kock altered the destiny of the match. India was at 106/3 in the fourteenth over when Kohli tried to flick off Kagiso Rabada’s bowling with his legs.
