At Barbados’ Bridgetown, England played the United States of America in their last Super 8 match. In pursuit of a low score of 116, captain Jos Buttler struck a massive six that ultimately broke the solar panel on the roof. Reaching a distance of 106 metres, the maximum proved to be one of the biggest sixes of the competition.
Saurabh Netravalkar, one of the tournament’s stars thus far, was treated brutally by the England captain. The opposition captain dismissed the bowler from the USA, who had taken some of the most wickets in the tournament, on the fourth ball of the third over. Indicating his team’s desire to win the game, the right-handed batsman struck for yet another maximum on the subsequent pitch.
The captain of England has been playing fantastically, particularly against the USA, where he hit five consecutive sixes. In the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 Super Eight, he hit 83* runs off just 38 balls with a strike rate of 218.42 against the USA.

England’s captain destroys USA bowlers in order to lead his team home.
Particularly Chris Jordan was able to send back the last three American batters, completing a hat-trick in the process. He helped his country limit the opposition to just 115 runs with his 2.5-over performance, giving up just 10 runs. Despite being frugal in his four-over performance and taking two wickets, Adil Rashid maintained the pressure throughout the middle overs.
With an undefeated 83 runs from just 38 balls, England captain Jos Buttler took it upon himself to lead his team to victory. England’s place in the T20 World Cup 2024 semi-finals was guaranteed when the wicket-keeper batsman and Phil Salt combined to carry his team home in just 9.4 overs.
