India's international schedule for the 2024–25 home season has been announced by BCCI

The much awaited international home season schedule for the Indian cricket team for 2024–25 was revealed on Thursday, June 20, by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Three cricket-mad nations are coming to the cricket-mad country to test the Men in Blue with displays of skill: Bangladesh, New Zealand, and England.

A two-match Test series between Bangladesh and India will mark the start of India’s international home season. Chennai will host the first Test, which gets underway on September 23. On October 1, the second Test will begin in Kanpur. After that, Dharamsala, Delhi, and Hyderabad will host a three-match Twenty20 International series between the two Asian teams.

The next task for India is a three-match Test series against the New Zealand Blackcaps. Only eight days after the final Twenty20 International match against Bangladesh, on October 20, the first Test gets underway in Bengaluru. Pune will host the second Test, while Mumbai will host the third.

A high-stakes series between India and England will wrap up the home season. The two titans of cricket will square off in a five-match Twenty20 International series that begins on January 22, 2025. The five locations for what looks to be a hotly contested series are Chennai, Kolkata, Rajkot, Pune, and Mumbai. After the tour, the Three Lions will play an ODI series consisting of three matches at Nagpur, Cuttack, and Ahmedabad.

India will want to score as many points as possible from the five Test matches they will play at home in the coming months. They are currently leading the World Test Championship points standings for the 2023–2025 cycle and would like to advance to the championship game for the third time in a row.

The schedule for India’s 2024–25 international home season is as follows:
