Twitter responds to Pakistan’s elimination from the T20 World Cup 2024, saying, “Pakistan qualified for Karachi Airport.”

Pakistan, the runners-up in the last edition, are now officially out of the T20 World Cup after the USA vs. Ireland match was called off on Friday.

The USA and Ireland each gained one point for a damp outfield that was unplayable, giving the co-hosts five points overall and a trip to the Super 8. Pak’s highest point total is four, even if they win their match against Ireland on Sunday.

Pak needed to qualify if the USA vs. Ireland match happened and Ireland prevailed. This would have given Pak a chance to go to the next round by defeating Ireland. But Babar Azam’s team was eliminated due to weather-related issues.

The fact that the Pak team was unable to advance to the Super Eight was a source of great disappointment and sadness, according to Kamran Akmal. In addition, he expressed regret for the team’s subpar cricket performance and underlined that the issues must immediately be fixed.

Wasim Jaffer also responded, stating that to common assumption, Pak remained in the tournament because the Ireland vs. USA game was postponed due to rain. Rather, Pak’s defeat by the United States led to their elimination.
