Following the contentious exchange, Sanjana, an ICC employee who is covering the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024, questioned Bumrah. In front of an enthusiastic crowd at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, the great bowler discussed both his individual performance and India’s exciting victory.
When the interview came to a conclusion, Bumrah said, “I’ll see you in 30 minutes. Thank you.” “What’s for dinner?” inquired Sanjana Ganesan after he laughed.

After Pakistan decided to field first, India was knocked out for 119. The weather caused the game to start much later than expected. When play did ultimately begin, the sky was gloomy, and Pakistan’s pacers managed to find enough movement to cause problems for the Indian hitters. Sadly, not much swing was available, as the sun did manage to make an appearance. As the batting conditions improved, Bumrah, who concluded with outstanding scores of 3/14, praised the Indian bowling team for remaining composed. The Men in Blue won their second straight match in the main event by holding their fiercest adversaries to 113/7.

“The day went well. After a while, the wicket changed because the one we played on the previous occasion had a lot more assistance. It was cloudy in the morning, but later on the sun came out and the wicket dried up, as you can imagine. So, keeping at it, it did get better. In light of this, it was somewhat preferable to bat first because there were fewer seams and swings. Still, Bumrah expressed his happiness that his team was able to accomplish this despite constant pressure to be clear about their intentions and to make it harder for runs to be scored.
I’m very glad you understand that we were all together, that we were very clear, and that we never felt afraid. Therefore, that is encouraging for us moving forward as well,” he continued.
