A fresh development has emerged in the ongoing conflict between Indian cricket player Hanuma Vihari and the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA).
The state cricket organisation has finally granted Vihari a No Objection Certificate (NOC), allowing him to potentially swap sides ahead of the 2017 domestic season, following months of back and forth. Nonetheless, the cricket player conveyed his aggravation with the circumstances, mentioning the difficulties he encountered in acquiring the NoC.
The ace batter claimed to have emailed the ACA four times in order to obtain the NOC, but the association never provided the certificate during the two-month wait.
“I have sent them four letters requesting a NOC during the past two months. didn’t provide my NOC. They swiftly gave me my NOC after things took a turn for the worse. He wrote on X, “lol.”
I have been asking for NOC from 2 months, mailed them 4 times. Didn’t give my NOC.
Now that things have turned, they’ve issued my NOC immediately.

Mid-season, Hanuma Vihari was relieved of his Andhra captaincy.
following the batsman being demoted as captain of the Andhra Ranji Trophy squad following just one game of the previous season, tensions between Vihari and the ACA surfaced. Vihari, who was the 17th member of the squad, claimed that the reason for his dismissal was an incident involving the son of a politician. The cricketer said the player was made to resign as captain by the ACA because he had yelled at them.
Following the event, Hanuma Vihari openly attacked the ACA, claiming he had lost his self-respect and that the organisation thought players should take their advice. The cricketer declared his intention to change affiliations and promised never to play for Andhra again.

In response, Vihari received a show-cause notice from the ACA, which claimed he had made remarks critical of the organisation and its office-bearers on public forums and social media. The notification said that in order to ensure a better resolution, the senior player should have brought any issues to the association’s attention.
In the past, Vihari had reportedly desired to join Madhya Pradesh in order to leave Andhra before the 2023–24 season. The ACA’s actions and the ensuing postponement of the NOC’s issuance, however, further soured relations between the two organisations.
