Shahid Afridi, the former captain of Pakistan, is the most recent person to join the exclusive group. The iconic cricket player will be promoting the major event alongside the likes of Chris Gayle of the West Indies, Yuvraj Singh of India, and Usain Bolt, the fastest man in history.
The best T20 World Cup memories for Pakistan have always been linked to Afridi. Despite their defeat to India in the championship match, he was voted Player of the Tournament for his heroic contributions to their run to the final in the first-ever 2007 edition.

“I have a lot of personal attachment to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Some of my favorite career milestones have come from participating on this stage, from winning the trophy in 2009 to being named Player of the Tournament in the first edition, Shahid Afridi said.
