Ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup, the Netherlands has delivered a severe blow. Their two best players, Daniel Doram and Fred Klaassen, have ailments that will prevent them from competing in the T20 World Cup. The Netherlands are now preparing for the main event by playing a tri-series against Scotland and Ireland.
Kyle Klein and Saqib Zulfiqar take the place of Klaassen and Doram, who are wounded. It is noteworthy that Klein’s original T20 World Cup roster was as a traveling reserve. Klein has so far, only participated in two ODIs and one T20I. But Zulfiqar has only played 15 ODIs and six T20Is thus far. At an economy rate of 6.46, he has nine wickets.

The Netherlands’ T20 World Cup campaign begins on June 4 in Dallas against Nepal. They are in Group D with Bangladesh, Nepal, South Africa, and Sri Lanka.
