Before the net session began, Mushtaq Ahmed had a long talk with the group of aspiring wrist spinners. He then kept a careful eye on their bowling performances, giving them helpful advice to maximize their movements in addition to other factors like grip, load-up, and follow-through.
On Saturday, May 11, at a special indoor practice session in Mirpur, sixteen aspiring leg-spinners had the opportunity to receive one-on-one instruction from Mushtaq Ahmed, the former leg-spinner from Pakistan and current spin-bowling coach of Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board’s Game Development Department carried out a comprehensive statewide talent hunt to find these promising leg spinners.
In a video message distributed by the BCB, Mushtaq Ahmed, who played 14 years of international cricket and amassed 185 Test and 161 ODI wickets, encouraged the upcoming generation of cricket players. Insisting that they give their all to their training, he emphasized the crucial role that diligence plays in attaining success.
“You are all Bangladesh Cricket’s future. In a video released by the BCB, Mushtaq Ahmed could be heard instructing the group of boys, “You all have to give your heart and soul in training, nobody can cheat success.”
In addition, he emphasized the critical role that accuracy and discipline play when executing bowling strategies. He emphasized that every ball must be delivered with perfect length and line for the duration of the over and, in many cases, even longer, in order to effectively contribute to taking wickets.

“You need to bowl quality overs in order to take wickets; you cannot take wickets just bowling decent balls. “You would never get a wicket with one good ball,” Mushtaq told the budding wrist spinners.
