Mohammed Shami, the leading Indian pace bowler, defended KL Rahul after the team’s captain suffered an unbelievable 10-wicket defeat at the hands of the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad and after Sanjiv Goenka, the owner of the Lucknow Super Giants, expressed his frustration towards Rahul on the sidelines.
The bowler called the incident a “shame” and was now out for the 2024 Indian Premier League due to a right heel problem. He also voiced his disapproval of it taking place in public.
“Players show respect, and as an owner, you also deserve respect as a person. There are numerous people who are watching and studying you. It’s a matter of shame if these things occur in front of cameras, Shami stated in an interview with Cricbuzz.

Shami backed Rahul even further, pointing out that sports are full of unforeseen circumstances as well as victories and losses.
