After the barrage Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head unleashed on them, the Lucknow bowlers may as well have given up. To punish the visiting bowlers, the SRH openers reached the century mark in just 5.4 overs.

Ayush Badoni, who bowled the seventh over, was struck for 19 runs as the runs continued to come in even after the time-out. With a massive six to all but secure the game, Abhishek Sharma reached his half-century off just 19 balls.

After giving the Lucknow Super Giants such a crushing defeat, Sunrisers Hyderabad cemented their bid for a postseason spot. The way the SRH openers dominated the Lucknow bowlers to win the game nearly gave the impression that they didn’t need to exert much effort.
