‘He hasn't got out to short ball for the first time’- Aakash Chopra evaluates DC's firing of Yashasvi Jaiswal

In a recent interview, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra discussed the dismissal of star Rajasthan Royals batter Yashasvi Jaiswal during his team’s match against the Delhi Capitals. With DC posing a challenge of 222 runs, RR was off to a poor start when opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for four runs in two deliveries. On the first delivery, Jaiswal hit a boundary, and on the second, he lifted the ball into the air, where it landed safely in Axar Patel’s hands.

Aakash Chopra, a former Indian cricket player, took the stage to discuss his dismissal and how a left-arm bowler bowled Jaiswal twice on short balls.

“Yashvi Jaiswal was out to a left-arm pacer once more when it came time to run chase. It’s not like this is his first time getting out to a short ball. He’s been fired numerous times and has escaped again. Aakash Chopra stated in a video posted on his YouTube channel, “It was an almost identical shot and got caught in front of the wickets.”

Although Buttler was given life, Axar (Patel) also rejected him. For a brief period of time, Riyan Parag played brilliantly and made one or two excellent shots before he was removed as well. It seems like things might get stuck when he goes out to Rasikh Salam’s slower one at the rear of the hand,” he said.

I predicted he would hit a century. Aakash Chopra

Additionally, Aakash Chopra considered the criticism of RR captain Sanju Samson, who excelled for his team throughout the DC run chase. After scoring 86 runs in 46 deliveries, Samson appeared to be headed for a huge day, but his ejection caused RR’s plans to go apart.

Sanju Samson persisted in hitting one end hard. The way he’s batting. I thought he would get a century. He didn’t reach a hundred, but he did manage to score 86 off of 46 balls before falling victim to Mukesh Kumar. He was an amazing batter. He had terrific timing on the ball. Chopra concluded, “Shubham Dubey also batted brilliantly for a while.
