In the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), nothing is going well for the Mumbai Indians. Due to their poor performances, the team is currently near the bottom of the points standings. In their first 11 games, they have only managed three wins. Their old teammate has been very critical of them, and their hopes of making the playoffs seem remote.
CM Gautam, a former member of the Mumbai Indians team, has discussed the team’s miserable performance in the 2024 IPL. He has criticised the Mumbai Indians’s bowling in particular for the competition. Other than Jasprit Bumrah, none of the bowlers appeared to have contributed to the team. He also emphasised how the way fans have been treating Hardik Pandya has been detrimental to the squad.
“The traffic in Bengaluru is not as bad as Mumbai’s performance.” To put it mildly, I am extremely disappointed. Although they have an excellent batting lineup, their performance is quite underwhelming. Except for Jasprit Bumrah, none of the bowlers have stood out from the others. With the exception of Bumrah and Coetzee, the bowling performance has been alarming. Prior to the 2024 Indian Premier League, Pandya’s selection as the Mumbai Indians captain sparked much discussion. The decision to remove Rohit Sharma as captain did not sit well with fans of the team. Fans of the Indian captain then took to the internet to complain and harass the administration. According to Gautam, the management failed to implement smooth transitions; hence, the change was unnecessary.

They could have waited for another season instead of changing the leadership at that point, in my opinion.
