IPL 2024: Punjab Kings 2nd innings highlights against CSK in Match 49

The home team, the Chennai Super Kings, was well-restricted by the Punjab Kings bowlers, who only allowed 162 runs to be scored in their 20 overs. With yet another skillfully constructed half-century knock, Ruturaj Gaikwad led his team in scoring.

The Punjab Kings hitters played risk-free cricket with the victory all but guaranteed, shattering the CSK bowlers’ last hopes of a comeback. With some astute cricket, Shashank Singh and Sam Curran ensured that the scoreboard never stopped spinning.

Punjab Kings: 163/3 from 17.5 overs at the end of the match

The Punjab Kings won their fourth tournament game with relative ease. After their thrilling chase against KKR a few days prior, they had won two straight games. However, following yet another home defeat, alarm bells will start to sound in Chennai.
