“I would absolutely choose him.” – Brett Lee supports Phil Salt’s selection for the England T20 World Cup team.

Without a doubt, I would choose him. I think his game is really planned and straightforward, as if he knows precisely what he's doing with his head," Lee remarked.

"I would absolutely choose him." - Brett Lee supports Phil Salt's selection for the England T20 World Cup team.

Recently, former Australia bowler Brett Lee spoke out in favor of Phil Salt, England’s top opener, being included in the team for the T20 World Cup in 2024. According to Lee, Phil Salt’s success in the current IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024 should ensure his place on the England team.

Phil Salt is among the tournament’s top run scorers with 392 runs scored in just nine games played. As a replacement signing, Salt joined KKR, and it’s reasonable to say that he’s lived up to the expectations placed in him.

Speaking about his exploits, Phil Salt former pacer Brett Lee expressed his admiration, saying that he seemed highly disciplined and that his game appeared simple.

Without a doubt, I would choose him. His style of play seems straightforward to me; it’s very structured in the sense that he seems to know exactly what he’s doing mentally, doesn’t try to overhit the ball, is an extremely clean ball striker, and doesn’t try to execute a lot of crazy little shots. Brett Lee stated at a post-match show on Star Sports, “The ball’s up, he hits you in the area where he’s meant to hit you, and he backs himself, which is, you know, the most important part of it.”

A playoff spot is getting closer for Kolkata Knight Riders.

Regarding the Kolkata Knight Riders, they are just a hair away from making it to the tournament’s playoffs. KKR has played nine games and has 12 points, good for second place in the rankings. The two-time winners defeated the Delhi Capitals handily in their most recent victory.
