Amidst the same discourse, Mohammad Kaif also defended Kohli, stating that it is evident that he will bat at a lesser strike rate throughout the middle overs. These days, strike-rate is all I hear. People are pursuing Kohli. It’s obvious, boss, to slow down between overs 7 and 15. A spinner’s economy rate is smaller than that of a fast bowler. How come? due to the fact that they bowl the middle overs,” Kaif stated.
