In the current Indian Premier League (IPL), the Rajasthan Royals are still unstoppable. The team has won eight of their nine games this season, maintaining its lead in the standings. The team kept making an impression in the competition by defeating the Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Stadium in their most recent match.
Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel’s performances stood out as the Royals attempted to chase down a target of 197 runs during the game. In 33 deliveries, Samson scored 71 runs, and in 34 balls, Jurel added 52 runs. After a string of lacklustre outings, Jurel was excited about this momentous occasion.
The 23-year-old spoke out following the match over his position in the Rajasthan Royals’ batting order, calling it both a blessing and a curse. He confessed that all he wanted to do was bat for his team to the very end.

“When I had the chance to (during batting), I just wanted to finish the match.” Playing in the middle has its advantages and disadvantages, but I only wanted to stay until the very end to win the game for my team. I’ll need to get better at batting powerplay. Outside the ring, you have merely two fielders. There are five fielders in the deep, so you’ll need to find the gaps and get big hits going throughout the middle overs; that’s what I was looking at,” Jurel stated during the post-match presentation ceremony.

In addition, the star batter disclosed that he was having trouble in the early part of the inning since his shots were hitting the fielders. But then he calmed down and found his flow, thanks to skipper Sanju Samson’s advice.
“Although I had a strong start, my shots were straight at the fielders. After Sanju advised me to cool down, not rush things, and take my time, I scored 20 runs in an over, which fired me up,” stated Jurel.
