Head coach Andy Flower of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) said that his team will learn from their previous Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium and return stronger. The RCB put on a spectacular display with the bat while chasing a massive target.
Pursuing a mammoth 288 runs, RCB got off to a good start in the innings thanks to a partnership of 80 runs between skipper Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli for the first wicket. Later in the game, Dinesh Karthik delivered an incredible inning.
“I’m rather proud of how we battled in the middle there with the bat. On RCB Game Day, Andy Flower said, “I was really proud of the way we fought, even though we lost the game.”

After such a fantastic showing at bat, the head coach acknowledged that the club would be extremely confident going into the game. At this point, every game is an elimination match for the team in order to go to the Indian Premier League playoffs.
Of course, it was a really difficult night in the field since they finished with such force that it likely depleted our spirits. It’s definitely elimination time, and for us, every game is like the semifinals. We’ll think it through and come back stronger,” he said.
Andy Flower gave Karthik a lot of credit as well for his outstanding 83 runs off just 35 balls, which included seven sixes and five fours.
“Dinesh Karthik is really making a push for the World Cup team as well and is only getting better on the field,” the coach said.
On Sunday, April 21, RCB will host the Kolkata Knight Riders in their upcoming match at Eden Gardens.
