The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated the Gujarat Titans (GT) by a score of 33 runs on Sunday, April 7, at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, to record their third straight victory in the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024). After choosing to bat first, LSG amassed a respectable score of 163/5 in the 20 overs permitted, thanks in large part to half-centuries from Marcus Stoinis and crucial contributions from KL Rahul (33 off 31) and Nicholas Pooran (32 off 22).
In response, GT’s openers scored 54 runs off of 36 balls for the first wicket, giving them a strong start to the powerplay. They were finally bowled out for 130 after losing their stride in the middle overs, with Yash Thakur getting a fifer and Krunal Pandya taking 3/11 from his four overs.
