Shot of the Day – Shubman Gill’s majestic lofted drive dispatches Rabada’s pace over the fence – GT vs PBKS IPL 2024

Shubman Gill, the captain of the Gujarat Titans, was at the top of his game against the Punjab Kings in Match 17 of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024), hitting a spectacular 89* (48). As he hit six fours and four sixes and led GT to a mammoth score of 199/4 in their allotted 20 overs, the opening batsman recorded the highest score of the current season.

Gill exhibited his diverse range of strokes during his innings, hitting the ball to every part of the field. Gill’s mayhem also claimed the scalp of speedster Kagiso Rabada, who on the second ball of the thirteenth over hit him for a spectacular six straight down the ground with a lofted drive. In the eighteenth over, he again took him for a maximum, using his sheer speed to smash him over the long boundary.
