We’ll adhere to the avoidance of overanalyzing in the final: Leading RCB player Smriti Mandhana

Nothing needs to change right now, in my opinion. We'll follow the same strategy in the championship game: don't overthink things, follow our procedure, and act morally," Mandhana stated.

We'll adhere to the avoidance of overanalyzing in the final: Leading RCB player Smriti Mandhana
After defeating the defending champion Mumbai Indians by 5 runs in the eliminator, which was held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on March 15, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take on the Delhi Capitals in the WPL 2024 Final.

Ellyse Perry’s (66 runs & 1/29) and Asha Sobhana’s (1/13) performances were analyzed by JioCinema and Sports18 WPL specialists Saba Karim and Reema Malhotra. Also speaking exclusively on “Match Center Live” were Sobhana and Smriti Mandhana, the captains of the RCB.

About the significance of adhering to established procedures, Smriti Mandhana said: “This RCB squad had decided not to discuss the goal before the tournament and to try and stick to our approach. A good work ethic, a proper procedure, and accomplishing the tasks at hand. You have little influence over most of what occurs. We concentrated on the two things we could control: practice and hard work. Nothing needs to change right now, in my opinion. We’ll follow the same guidelines in the end: don’t overthink things, follow our procedure, and act morally.

When it came to defending 135 Asha Sobhana said, “Everyone was confident.” Despite the extremely low score, we were optimistic that we could defend the target because this pitch is difficult to hit, particularly when facing spinners. I knew, in my opinion, that no batter would find it simple. We considered applying pressure and going as deep as we could in the game. The fundamentals of defense actually held up.

“Picking a leg-spinner for the 20th over was remarkable,” said Saba Karim in reference to the match’s last over. It was encouraging to witness Asha Sobhana’s confidence growing as well. Mumbai had Amelia Kerr and Pooja Vastrakar, two excellent batsmen against spinners; therefore, they had a chance to win the last over. Asha, though, remained composed. In an effort to entice the batters to come forward and take big pitches, she kept the ball tantalizingly close to them. It was amazing how she managed to take up that wicket.

Reema Malhotra on Ellyse Perry’s impressive all-around performance: “With her innings, she stood like a lone warrior on the pitch.” Despite her inability to form partnerships, this legend’s bat produced a huge score. She can take pressure, which is why we refer to her as a big-match player. In knockouts, she consistently does well. She has entered the game in strong shape this season. Despite her ability to score runs in every game, she took six wickets in the last match when her team most needed her.
