India should be extremely proud of the following players who are making their debuts: Nick Knight

Sarfaraz Khan was given the chance to make his debut in Rajkot during the third Test matchup against England when KL Rahul was not present. KS Bharat, who hasn’t played very well at bat for the national side, was replaced by new player Dhruv Jurel. India’s debutants performed admirably, seizing the chance to make a big impact in the opening inning at the bat.

Sarfaraz, who batted at number six, displayed an aggressive style of cricket, making 62 runs off of 64 deliveries. After a miscommunication with Ravindra Jadeja, he was able to leave the field after Sarfaraz was caught short of his crease by a direct hit from Mark Wood. Although he was disappointed with how he was dismissed, former England cricketer Nick Knight praised him on his debut. He also gave Jurel credit for his impressive performance with the bat during Day 2’s morning session.

“India should be extremely proud of the few players who are making their debuts. Jurel right now and Sarfaraz yesterday. In an interview with JioCinema, Knight stated, “The way he’s played through that session has been absolutely terrific.”

Day 2 saw the early exits of both Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja, with Dhruv Jurel and Ravichandran Ashwin taking over. India passed the 400-run threshold thanks to the pair’s vital 77-run partnership. Knight praised Jurel’s temperament and said that the young player handled the occasion superbly in reference to his 46 runs on debut.

“He did a fantastic job managing the situation. With both players on zero, India was in serious trouble when he arrived. He was going to have to dig in and figure out a way out. An individual who is making his Test debut has managed to discover resilience for himself and his partner, Ashwin. Knight continued, “I think he got off the mark after 11 balls, but looking at him, I thought this boy could play.”
