A number of legendary players will be present in the Indian Veteran Premier League’s (IVPL) first season, bringing cricket fans back to bygone eras. All of the matches in the eagerly awaited competition will take place at Dehradun’s Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium between February 23 and March 3.
Herschelle Gibbs, a legendary batsman from South Africa renowned for his brilliant fielding and elegant batting, will be taking the field to lead Red Carpet Delhi in the six-team competition.

According to Latestly, the 49-year-old Herschelle Gibbs stated, “I’ll be representing the Red Carpet Delhi Team and can’t wait to get started and see you all then.”
Gibbs will be joined by iconic players Theseara Perera of Sri Lanka, Imran Tahir of South Africa, and Asghar Afghan, the former captain of Afghanistan. Manvinder Bisla, the 2012 IPL Player of the Final, is also included in the team.
The Board for Veteran Cricket in India (BVCI) is in charge of running the competition, while 100 Sports is in charge of management. Virender Sehwag, Munaf Patel, Suresh Raina, Rajat Bhatia, Chris Gayle, Praveen Kumar, Yusuf Pathan, and numerous other well-known cricket players will be competing throughout the tournament.
The six teams that are playing in the competition are VVIP Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan Legends, Red Carpet Delhi, Chhattisgarh Warriors, Telangana Tigers, and Mumbai Champions. Live coverage of the matches will be available in India on FanCode, DD Sports, and the Eurosport channel.

For the Proteas, he participated in 90 Tests, 248 ODIs, and 23 T20Is. In Tests, he scored 6,167 runs at an average of 41.67, in ODIs, 8,094 runs at 35.81, and in the game’s shortest format, 400 runs at 18.18.
