Among the greatest, if not the greatest, in all formats is Jasprit Bumrah: Chris Woakes

Throughout the current Test series against England, Jasprit Bumrah has been outstanding. The brilliant pacer has taken 15 wickets in his first two games and is now dominating the series in wicket-taking. All-rounder Chris Woakes has expressed his admiration for Bumrah, who plagued the England hitters throughout on grounds where spinners were expected to dominate.

Bumrah is currently among, if not the best, seamers in the world, according to the 34-year-old. The pacer, who was born in Ahmedabad, is “world-class,” he said, and it’s wonderful to see Bumrah use proper line and length in trying circumstances.

“Jasprit Bumrah, a world-class player, was the most impressive player in the most recent Test match.

He is currently among the greatest, if not the top, in all formats. It’s fantastic to see fast bowlers perform so well, particularly given the circumstances,” India Today cited Woakes as saying.

Head coach Brendon McCullum said that the Ben Stokes-led team had gone to Abu Dhabi in order to avoid the “heat of the battle” following their 106-run loss in Visakhapatnam. Before the third Test, which is scheduled to start in Rajkot, Gujarat, on January 15, they are anticipated to return to India. In reference to the current rivalry, Woakes said that although India is the favorite to win the series at home, the visitors are aware of what is required to win.

The all-rounder stated that the third Test, which is the middle game of the series, will be very important because it is now tied at one wicket.

It goes without saying that India will be the favorites when you play them. Team England is aware of their competitive needs and will assess the current 1-1 status of the series. Since the next game is the middle game of the series, it will be crucial,” Chris Woakes continued.
