During the latest Twenty20 International match between Pakistan and New Zealand, young Will, the throw mascot responsible for tossing the coin, sent a heartfelt statement expressing his thanks and joy.
At the second Twenty20 International at Seddon Park in Hamilton, mascot Will was invited as a special visitor. He was allowed to sign autographs with most of the players on his bat in addition to tossing the coin.
Despite his initial trepidation, mascot Will recently expressed his gratitude, saying he enjoyed the event, got signatures from most players on his bat, and was grateful for everyone’s goodwill.
“I appreciate you choosing me to toss the coins during last night’s Blackcaps vs. Pakistan game at Seddon Park, Hamilton. Will expressed his opinions in an Instagram photo, which Black Caps NZ republished. “I really liked it and I got most players signatures on my bat. I was a little nervous to start with but everyone was nice to me,” Will wrote.

The little cricket fan continued by sharing his aspiration of one day becoming a Blackcap. It is clear that the event left a lasting impression on the would-be cricket player.
In his touching remark, he also said, “Someday I want to be a Blackcap myself. Thanks for letting me do that last night from Will.”.
Will’s happiness was increased even more when the Blackcaps defeated Pakistan by 21 runs. Finn Allen’s brilliant knock of 74 runs from 41 balls, which set a fast pace early in the innings, was part of the thrilling display.
The Blackcaps posted pictures of the youthful mascot on social media, showing him posing with wrist spinners Ish Sodhi and Daryl Mitchell. Will and the teammates’ friendship demonstrated the welcoming nature of the cricket fraternity.
Speaking of that game, New Zealand’s bowlers, namely Milne, Sears, Southee, and Sodhi, hit the brakes after Pakistan got off to a fast start in their pursuit of 195 runs, resulting in an exciting victory for the home team.
