A stolen phone valued at INR 1.6 lakh from the residence of Sourav Ganguly in Kolkata

Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly was at the center of an alarming incident when it was revealed that his phone had been stolen from his Kolkata home. This incident has sparked discussions about security and the vulnerability of personal digital information.

Ganguly lodged a complaint at the Thakurpukur police station following the weekend incident. Ganguly disclosed that he left his phone at a specific location and that it vanished from his home, containing private information that was connected to his bank account.

Notably, the continuing painting of Ganguly’s home has highlighted the workers’ presence—especially the masons. Concerns about possible misuse increased when it was reported that the missing phone held contact details of important people and allowed access to several accounts.

Sourav Ganguly has pleaded with the authorities to get the phone back as soon as possible and shield his private data from being compromised. The focus of the inquiry is still on whether the stolen phone can be found and what steps can be done to stop future breaches of this kind.

“Pitching is causing a decline in bat quality,” Sourav Ganguly questions seriously about rank turners.

In a recent conversation regarding the India vs. England series, Ganguly argues for quality wickets and challenges the necessity of changing tracks in India. He highlighted how well fast bowlers had performed and voiced concern about batting quality deteriorating over the previous six to seven years as a result of unfavorable pitch conditions. With a potent bowling squad, Sourav Ganguly thinks India can win over five days on any surface.

“When I saw the bowl of Bumrah, Sami, Siraj, and Mukesh,. I’m not sure why we need to prepare turning tracks in India; every game I play, I’m more and more convinced that we should play on decent wickets. With Ashwin, Jadeja, Kuldeep, and Axar, they can win on any surface with 20 wickets. However, batting quality has declined due to home pitches over the past six to seven years. Good wickets are essential, and India can still win in five days. @bcci, Sourav Ganguly posted on ‘X’.
