The Indian Veteran Premier League (IVPL) will commence on February 23, featuring a lineup of renowned players from the past. All the matches in the event will take place exclusively at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun. The last confrontation is slated to take place on March 3.
Chris Gayle, a highly acclaimed West Indies batsman, will be taking part in the competition. He will assume the role of leading the Telangana Tigers. Dehradun will have the opportunity to see the performance of the leading scorer in the shortest format of the game. The 44-year-old expressed his enthusiasm, attributing his perseverance to his self-confidence and the support of his supporters.

Ricardo Powell, a former teammate of Chris Gayle’s from the West Indies, as well as Sudeep Tyagi and Manpreet Gony, former players for the Indian and Chennai Super Kings, will all be joining him at the Telangana Tigers.
The Board for Veteran Cricket in India (BVCI) organizes the competition, and 100 Sports is in charge of it. The cricket community will get the opportunity to witness the participation of renowned players such as Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina, Rajat Bhatia, Chris Gayle, Munaf Patel, Praveen Kumar, Yusuf Pathan, Herschelle Gibbs, and several others during the competition.
“Our goal is to establish a top-tier league in India that rivals the IPL. We have recruited the most talented cricketers from around the world,” stated Praveen Tyagi, the acting president of BVCI and chairman of IVPL.
The teams playing in the tournament are VVIP Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan Legends, Red Carpet Delhi, Chhattisgarh Warriors, Telangana Tigers, and Mumbai Champions. Every squad will consist of four to five renowned players from throughout the world.
