In the second Test, James Anderson was outstanding, and Jasprit Bumrah is weird: Michael Clarke

Jasprit Bumrah, the captain of India, has taken the most wickets in the series, with 15 from two games at an incredible average of 10.67. In the opening innings of the second Test, he got six wickets, and in the second essay, he claimed three more.

In the second Test between India and England in Visakhapatnam, pacers played a more significant role than spinners, who dominated the first Test in Hyderabad. India won the second Test by 106 runs, setting up an interesting 1-1 series.

Much of the talk leading up to the series was about the pacers’ efficacy because spin-friendly wickets were anticipated. Spinners have received some help thus far, but two elite pacers have shone with their flawless skill sets.

England chose Mark Wood over James Anderson to play in the first Test of the series because of his lightning-fast pace. The choice backfired, as Wood bowled 25 overs over the course of two innings without picking up a wicket. In the second Test, James Anderson came in for the Ashington native and had an immediate impact. The 41-year-old claimed three wickets in the first innings and two more in the second. Michael Clarke, a former Australian captain, heaped admiration on both bowlers. The 42-year-old praised Jasprit Bumrah and Anderson’s efforts on a pitch that wasn’t favorable for seamers.

“On a flat batting track that offered little to the fast bowlers, James Anderson was outstanding with the ball in the second Test. And what can you say, Jasprit Bumrah? He is strange. His ability to apply his skill in non-fast-bowling settings is astounding. “He’s a freak,” ESPN’s Michael Clarke said.
It’s incredible that you were able to play that much cricket in that length of time. Michael Clarke

People sometimes assume that Anderson is less deadly away from home because of his amazing numbers in England. Clarke disagreed with this line of thinking, believing the veteran still has a lot to provide for the England squad.

“He has an absurd record in England. The idea that he can only play in his backyard is frequently brought up. However, he keeps proving that to be untrue. He is, in my opinion, also a vital member of this team. Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum seem to like having him in the group, in my opinion. Furthermore, it doesn’t appear that he will stop. Clarke continued, He still has a lot of cricket left in him if he bowls like he did in the second Test match.
