Glenn Maxwell, an all-rounder with Star Australia, has been silent over the recent ambulance incident that occurred following a wild night out in Adelaide. Maxwell was hospitalized following the event on January 19, as a result of heavy drinking and dehydration that rendered him comatose. His teammates tried several times to wake him up, but they were unsuccessful and had to call an ambulance.
The 35-year-old managed to regain consciousness after a short while in the ambulance, but he was brought to the hospital for more testing. The cricket player was discharged from the hospital after a few hours, but he was still far from fully recovered. He was forced to miss the West Indies ODI series, but he should be back for the T20I leg, which starts on February 9.
Two weeks after the incident, Glenn Maxwell still won’t talk about what happened that evening. The cricket player has resolutely refused to answer questions from the media on Allen Border Medal night and more recently at a golf tournament, which has piqued interest in the topic.

“I believe that the last three years have shown us the finest Glenn Maxwell has to offer on the field. And the reason for that is that he has a good body. And of course, there was the less-than-ideal broken leg. And I believe we’ll still see the best of him during the ensuing years. Thus, maintaining his physical well-being and ensuring that he takes all necessary precautions to extend his time at the park will be part of it, according to Finch.
