On the second day of the second Test in Visakhapatnam, star bowler Jasprit Bumrah took two vital wickets to stop England’s momentum, just as India was having trouble with the ball. The pacer from Ahmedabad initially defeated Joe Root, who then passed it to Shubman Gill, who was positioned in the first slips. Later, Jasprit Bumrah startled Jonny Bairstow, the non-striker, by picking up the wicket of Ollie Pope with an exquisite yorker.
Before Jasprit Bumrah delivered, Pope shifted slightly in the direction of the off-stump, making space between his bat and the pads.
The 30-year-old took advantage of that by bowling a yorker that sent the leg stump and middle flying. Pope attempted to stop the ball, but it was a little too late because the ball had already moved the stumps.

England had been playing well with the bat, but all of a sudden they were struggling. Pope, who scored 196 runs in Hyderabad, was gradually forming an important alliance with Bairstow, but he ultimately faltered. Following his removal, 25-year-old opener Zak Crawley took command of the game by smashing 76 runs off 78 deliveries. Axar Patel defeated him right when it was thought that he would step up his game.
Overall, India’s performance in the second session of Day 2 would satisfy them. In Hyderabad, the bowlers had a great deal of intent, which was lacking in the second innings. But the batters still have a lot of space to grow, since Yashasvi Jaiswal was the only one who could really play well. It’s concerning that the young guy scored almost half of the team’s runs because the hitters are accustomed to this kind of play.
