Furthermore, Dravid disclosed that, should Kishan make himself available, he intends to participate in domestic matches for his state, Jharkhand, in the present Ranji Trophy 2024 prior to joining the Indian side. However, Secretary of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA), Debasis Chakraborty, provided important details regarding the Bihar-born player’s participation in the ongoing domestic season.
“Ishan hasn’t reached out to us or provided any information regarding his availability,” he said on Thursday, January 11.
JSCA Secy reportedly stated to India Today that the cricketer has not yet been in touch with the board to inquire about playing in Ranji matches. Conversely, Chakraborty also guaranteed that, should he become available, Ishan would select himself directly into the playing eleven.”He will enter the playing XI whenever he tells us.”
It is noteworthy that Ishan is not included in the official lineup for Jharkhand’s ongoing match versus Maharashtra, which is now underway in Pune as of Day 1. Jharkhand will play one more against Services in Delhi before the England tour of India gets underway, with the first Test due to be played in Hyderabad commencing January 25.
