“I was taught the fundamentals of bowling the ‘doosra’ by Saqlain Mushtaq. It took me more than three years to become proficient at the doosra delivery, according to Muralidaran.
The Kandy native reflected on his time spent in 2011 with the Kochi Tuskers Kerala, a former Indian Premier League (IPL) team. He believed Kerala would produce more gifted cricketers like S Sreesanth and Sanju Samson.

Currently, Muralidaran is the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s spin-bowling coach, having previously won the IPL. He has performed admirably during his several seasons with the team.
