David Warner breaks down in tears during his moving farewell speech

David Warner said a triumphant farewell to Test cricket with pride at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) as Australia defeated Pakistan 3-0 in the series. Warner commended the team’s outstanding efforts, which included winning the World Test Championship, a drawn Ashes series, and a World Cup victory, as he thought back on the team’s incredible accomplishments over the previous 18 months.

David Warner praised the three fast bowlers and Mitchell Marsh in particular, calling them the “engine room” of the team, while discussing the outstanding team effort.

In addition to praising their exceptional abilities and emphasizing their unwavering work ethic in the gym and on the field, he also lightheartedly acknowledged his own apprehension about facing them in the nets.

David Warner expressed happiness and contentment as he took a trip down memory lane and revealed details of his easygoing morning routine on the day of the pivotal SCG match. Warner thanked the home crowd for its great support over the course of his career and expressed gratitude for their consistent support.

David Warner underlined that cricket players are in the “entertainment business,” highlighting the sport’s entertaining qualities.
