On December 24, Jemimah Rodrigues was spotted gleefully celebrating India’s historic victory over Australia in the one-off Test match held at Mumbai’s renowned Wankhede Stadium. In the final Test day, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led team defeated the visiting team by eight wickets, recording the first-ever victory over Australia in the annals of women’s Test cricket.
Having made her Test debut against England in the home series, Jemimah Rodrigues is one of the team’s most upbeat members. Following the award ceremony, the 23-year-old took charge of the festivities. She was seen doing brief interviews with Amol Muzumdar and other members of the coaching staff.

By eight wickets, Indian women defeated Australian women.
Alyssa Healy, the captain of Australia, chose to bat after winning the toss. The visitors were only able to score 219 in the first inning. With a half-century, Tahlia McGrath was the most impressive player. Pooja Vastrakar and Sneh Rana, who took four and three wickets, respectively, were crucial players in the meantime.
India, meanwhile, amassed a huge 406 runs, with four batters reaching significant fifty-score runs. For Australia, Ashleigh Gardner took four wickets at a cost of one hundred runs. After being bowled out for 261 in the third inning, Australia’s batsmen collapsed like a pack of cards, with McGrath hitting 73. Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Harmanpreet Kaur each took two wickets, while Sneh Rana claimed four. The hosts, needing to chase 75 in the last innings, took just 18.4 overs to complete the goal, thanks to an unbeaten 38 from 61 runs by Smriti Mandhana.
