Sanjay Manjrekar, a well-known cricket guru and former Indian batter, feels that Virat Kohli is about to make a spectacular comeback to form ahead of the highly anticipated Test series against South Africa.
India, who struggled to win in South Africa on their previous tour, is desperate to succeed there, as it has proven to be a difficult place for them to conquer in Test cricket. Thinking back to Kohli’s last outing, Manjrekar said,
“I observe Virat Kohli engaging in a few personal pursuits. He will become enraged. Sanjay Manjrekar told Star Sports, “Kohli has had to work harder for Test runs lately because he did not get a big one on the last trip to South Africa.”

However, you’re right—it reminds me of times when players said things they had never said before, like implying that the local broadcasters were rooting for the South African side and such. However, that team had a different mentality the last time around because they usually play in a different way under Rohit Sharma. I don’t see it occurring because the captain is the one who develops the culture, Manjrekar said, brushing off the possibility of another stump-mic attack.
On Boxing Day, December 26, India will set off on a mission to clinch a historic Test series victory in South Africa, marking the beginning of their road towards redemption.
