"Seems like a concerted attempt to exclude me" - Ahmed Shehzad leaves the PSL and promises to soon expose the conspiracy

Pakistani batter Ahmed Shehzad announced his intention to leave the Pakistan Super League (PSL), citing what he believed to be a lack of inclusion from teams. Despite his strong home performances, the right-handed batter voiced his disappointment, claiming a purposeful benching. In 45 PSL matches, he amassed 1077 runs with an average of 26.26 and nine half-centuries while playing for the Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators between 2016 and 2020.

Ahmed Shehzad decided to say goodbye to the league after being left out of the PSL draft for the 2018 season, despite his recent success in the National T20 Cup, where he amassed 344 runs at an amazing strike rate of 133.33. He emphasized how much better his stats were than those of a few chosen players. He expressed his anger on social media and alluded to a potential plot behind his absence in an emotional post.

Gratitude to the Pakistan Super League! This is a note I’m writing, something I didn’t think I would do this year. The same old story—not getting picked—happens in another PSL draft. Who knows why!? However, Allah planned and they planned. Undoubtedly, Allah is the greatest planner. His article on ‘X’ said, “I tried really hard by giving it all on the domestic circuit consistently in the last few years, and I did fairly well in the National T20 Cup right before the PSL draft.”

“Even when franchises have chosen other performers with lower statistics than mine, there seems to be a conscious effort to keep me out. However, it makes little difference when everything is arranged ahead of time. Then he continued, “I’m not sure who is in charge of bringing in the best domestic players for the PSL.

Ahmed Shehzad promises to shortly reveal the specifics of the plot.

The 32-year-old also mentioned his dream of rejoining the national squad. In the cricketing community, his non-inclusion in the draft sparked conjecture despite his impressive results. The cricketing world awaits more information regarding the mysterious removal of the Pakistan opener from the nation’s premier league, as Ahmed Shehzad has vowed and promised to soon reveal the facts surrounding his exclusion.

“My fans will soon learn the real reasons why I am not a member of the PSL, since I am aware of them myself. For the sake of my own dignity, I’m saying farewell to the Pakistan Super League. I have never played for cash and I never plan to. Many players throughout the world choose to play in international leagues, but I made the decision to compete on the home circuit to show my passion for the sport and to once again fly the Green Flag.

“I’m making this decision without considering the financial aspect; I was given multiple contracts to play in leagues, but I went with Pakistan.” I refuse to play in the PSL with these six teams ever again. “It appears that there is a mutual obligation to prevent me from watching PSL, and every franchise has shaken hands,” he said.
