Suryakumar Yadav team arrived in Durban before their multi-format series against South Africa. During the visit, Team India will play two Tests, three T20Is, and as many ODIs as possible. On December 10, Kingsmead in Durban will host the first Twenty20 International.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a video of the Indian players who received warm welcomes both at the hotel and the airport. The hotel personnel and fans, who were dressed traditionally, gave the T20I team a hearty welcome when they arrived.

India’s goal in winning the Twenty20 International Cricket Series is to become successful abroad. Due to their inclusion in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023–25 cycle, the two-match Test series held additional significance.
In January, India will play a three-game Twenty20 International series against Afghanistan to continue their cricket odyssey, following the multi-format series against South Africa. The Twenty20 International series will serve as a warm-up for the Men in Blue ahead of the much-awaited ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2024, which is slated to be jointly staged in the USA and the West Indies in June of that year.
India is returning from the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup with a dominant 4-1 victory over Australia in the five-match T20I series played at home under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav.
India won the first two matches against the ODI World Cup champions thanks to outstanding efforts. The third game was won by Australia by five wickets after a spectacular comeback. Nevertheless, by winning the fourth game, Suryakumar Yadav and company secured the series championship. To cap off the series with a victory, they went on to win the last game.
