The emblem, a clever combination of bat, ball, and energy, represents the essential components of international Twenty20 cricket. The T20 logo dynamically changes into a swinging “bat” contained inside a dynamic “ball.” This graphic depiction emphasizes the heart-pounding drama that is there in each ball that is bowled and shows how one swing of the bat may change the outcome of the game. With a zig-zag design hinting to building suspense and heart-pounding moments, reminiscent to a lightning strike, the “strike” graphic inside the ball captures the distinct atmosphere and electrifying intensity felt at International T20 World Cup matches.
Every World Cup edition will feature textures and patterns derived from the host nation into the brand identity, giving it an additional touch of originality. Starting with the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, where 20 nations will compete over 55 matches in June of next year, this custom approach pays reference to both the palm palms of the West Indies and the USA’s “stripes.”
