The Adelaide Strikers’ Big Bash League 2023–24 lineup contains Rashid Khan’s replacement, England pacer David Payne. Notably, the top spinner will miss the 2019 season due to surgery after having to opt out due to a minor back ailment. Rashid’s late withdrawal made room for Payne, who was instrumental in the Perth Scorchers’ championship victory in the previous season.
The Strikers’ top spin option going forward is Cameron Boyce, because Rashid is out of the picture. Payne expressed his excitement about joining the Strikers and getting to know all of his teammates after signing with the organization. The pitcher went on to say that he is eager to perform in front of his home fans, particularly on New Year’s Eve, which is a highly anticipated event.
