India vs. Australia: Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati, Twenty20 International Records and Stats

The second encounter of the five-match Twenty20 International series saw India top order overwhelm the Australians, taking a 2-0 lead in Thiruvananthapuram on November 27 with a 44-run victory. Before the bowlers restricted Australia to 191, India amassed a mammoth 235/4 lead because to fifty-seven scores from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Ishan Kishan. On Tuesday, November 28, the third Twenty20 International (T20I) of the series will be played in Guwahati’s Barsapara Cricket Stadium.

When it came to the second game, India batted first, and their two openers each got their fifties. Rinku Singh’s explosive undefeated 31 off nine balls and Ishan Kishan’s quick-fire fifty (52 off 32) drove India to a commanding total. With three wickets for forty-five runs in his four overs, Nathan Ellis was Australia’s standout bowler. However, Sean Abbott’s day was forgettable,,,, as he conceded 56 runs in his three overs without claiming a wicket.

After scoring 19 runs apiece, openers Steven Smith and Mathew Short could not hold on, while Glenn Maxwell and Josh Inglis also fell fast. However, Macrus Stoinis and Tim David steadied the innings with rapid fire, scoring 45 and 37, respectively. Although Matthew Wade, the skipper, was still undefeated at 42, it was insufficient. Taking 3/32 in four overs, wrist-spinner Ravi Bishnoi was the most effective bowler for India.

Australia will be trying to get back from two straight losses, and India will be hoping to win the third game to win the series. This is the second time these two sides have met at Barsapara Cricket Stadium; it will be the third T20I. In the first instance, Australia won by seven wickets with 27 balls left.
