Jasprit Bumrah

Following the heartbreak of the 2023 World Cup, Indian pace master Jasprit Bumrah turned to his family for comfort. After the tournament’s debacle, he recently made social media rounds with a sweet photo of himself holding his newborn kid. The picture captured the right-arm pacer’s loving grin at his little bundle of joy, exuding fatherly delight. Bumrah and his spouse, Sanjana Ganesan, welcomed their son into the world on September 4 of this year.

The couple’s friendship was evident in their most recent post. Renowned sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan joined in on the sweet conversation. While Bumrah called their infant “My little sunshine,” Sanjana said, “My favourite boys,” in her remark on the photo, garnering praise from both fans and netizens. But the baby’s face was hidden under a sun emoji in the photo when it was uploaded.

When compared to the more widely reported partnerships of their celebrity contemporaries, the Ahmedabad pacer and Sanjana’s union was a private affair as they maintained their silence about it. Their March 2021 nuptials, which took place in the beautiful Goan countryside, escaped the media attention that frequently surrounds these kinds of couplings.

Jasprit Bumrah finds comfort in family following the World Cup fiasco

The right-arm bowler, who is widely recognized as the mainstay of the Indian cricket team’s pace attack, took a break from the upcoming Twenty20 International series against Australia recently, following a demanding World Cup campaign. India is currently 1-0 in the series following a close win in the first game. Suryakumar Yadav is captaining the team in place of usual captain Hardik Pandya.

Pandya is still out of action because of an ankle injury he got on October 19 during Bangladesh’s World Cup match. Although the World Cup final defeat by Australia in Ahmedabad on November 19 still hurts, the 29-year-old’s emphasis on happiness with family appears to offer a reassuring diversion from the demands of playing professional cricket.
