Arriving at Trivandrum before the second Twenty20 International

India will try to extend their lead at the Greenfield Stadium in Trivandrum on Sunday, November 26, following their thrilling victory in the opening Twenty20 International of a five-match series against Australia on Thursday, November 23.

On November 24, the Indian team arrived in Trivandrum, and the hotel staff welcomed them warmly.

Prior to Sunday’s high-stakes match, the Australian team also made it to the capital of Kerala. The Kerala Cricket Association said that on Saturday, the two teams would rehearse at Sports Hub in Karyavattom, the site of the match.

With one ball left in the match against Matthew Wade and company, the Indian team pulled off an exciting two-wicket victory in front of a raucous Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. With a century from wicketkeeper-batsman Josh Inglis and a fifty from Steve Smith, the tourists amassed a massive 208/3 in the allotted 20 overs.

In response, when Ruturaj Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal were removed from the game within the first three overs, stand-in skipper Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan amassed entertaining half-centuries. Kishan and Suryakumar combined for 112 runs in 60 balls, providing a strong foundation for the Men in Blue. But as the innings came to a finish, wickets dropped often, and Rinku Singh’s last-minute heroics saw India through. Both pundits and fans praised Indian bowler Mukesh Kumar for his performance in the first innings. The 30-year-old conceded just 29 runs in his four overs on a track that was outstanding and had a lightning-fast outfield.

In Trivandrum, it is anticipated that the home team will remain on the same side. Players like Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell, and Adam Zampa, who participated in Sunday, November 19,’s ODI World Cup 2023 final against India, were rested by the opposition. The three may make a comeback to the starting lineup for Sunday’s match.
